How Caring 4 Smiles got +83% more booked appointments and calls in 30 days, then built a content engine to grow its traffic
A local dental clinic with modest traffic and a clear goal: more patients, especially children with mouth breathing problems. The strategy came in two parts: convert more of the visitors already arriving, then bring in more of the right ones.
A family dental clinic in the heart of Epsom
Caring 4 Smiles is a family-friendly dental group in Epsom, Auckland. The practice opened in 1995 and today is open six days a week, covering everything from toothaches, fillings and root canals to implants, veneers and children’s care.
Like most local clinics, its website has one job: turn a visitor into a patient. For Caring 4 Smiles that means two actions, a booked appointment or a phone call.
The challenge: limited traffic, none of it to waste
A neighbourhood clinic does not get the traffic of an online store. Caring 4 Smiles receives a few hundred visitors a week, so every visitor who leaves without booking is expensive, and every extra visit has to be earned.
- Low traffic volume. With a small, local audience, growth could not come from conversion rate alone. The clinic also needed more people to find it
- Many services, one website. A visitor in pain, a parent, someone considering straighter teeth and someone with a missing tooth all landed on the same pages and had to find their own way
- A specific patient to reach. The clinic wanted more families whose children have mouth breathing problems, a topic parents research long before they book
- No time to run a content programme. Publishing regularly for search and AI search is a job in itself, and a clinic team has patients to see
That set a two-part objective: convert more of the traffic the website already gets, then get more traffic to the website. In that order, so that every new visitor arrives on a website that is ready to convert.
The strategy: convert first, then grow
Pathmonk ran the two parts in sequence: one month to optimize conversion on the existing traffic, then a content plan to increase that traffic.
Part 1: convert more of the traffic
Month one, 13 August to 12 September. Personalized microexperiences on the page guide each visitor to the right care and to the two actions that matter: book an appointment or call the clinic.
Personalized microexperiencesA/B measuredPart 2: get more traffic
From month two. A content plan built in Content Factory for SEO and AI search, focused on the patients the clinic wants more of: children with mouth breathing problems. 26 articles, three months of content, generated in about five minutes.
Content FactorySEO & AI searchPart 1 · Convert
Personalized microexperiences on the page. Instead of leaving visitors to work through the navigation, Pathmonk shows each one a short, relevant experience at the right moment. One helps visitors sort themselves by need: pain, children’s care, straighter teeth or a missing tooth. Another speaks to parents about breathing, oral habits, bite and jaw development. A third answers the questions parents ask before booking a child’s assessment.
Every microexperience ends in the same two actions, Book an appointment and Call us, so the path from interest to contact is one click.

Part 2 · Grow
A three-month content plan in five minutes. With conversion optimized, the limit was traffic. In the second month Caring 4 Smiles used Content Factory to build a content plan around the patients it wants more of. In a few clicks, the clinic had 26 articles planned and generated: three months of content, produced in about five minutes.
- Built on what the clinic wants to grow. Topics centre on children’s mouth breathing, facial development and myofunctional treatment, written around the questions Auckland parents search for
- Ready for search and AI search. Each article follows SEO and GEO best practices, opening with a direct answer that search engines and AI assistants can use
- Published automatically. Articles go straight to the clinic’s WordPress site on schedule, with no manual upload
Content Factory runs the whole chain: research, topics, briefs, articles and publishing. Every article goes through a facts check, an SEO check and a GEO check before it is published, so the clinic only steps in to approve.

The result on the clinic’s website: articles that open with a direct answer, written for the parents the clinic wants to reach.

The two parts feed each other. The articles bring in parents researching the topic, and the microexperiences on the page meet them with the right answers and a clear way to book.
The results: +83% in the first month
Part 1 was measured with an A/B test from 13 August to 12 September. Traffic was split between a control group that saw the standard website (51%) and a Pathmonk group (49%). The comparison counts verified human visitors only, and on the Pathmonk side it counts the visitors who saw a microexperience. The goals were the same for both groups: a confirmed booking or a phone call.
Visitors who saw a microexperience converted at 36.76% against 20.06% in the control group, a +83.2% uplift in booked appointments and phone calls. The Pathmonk group produced more bookings and calls from fewer visitors.
Share of visitors reaching each stage, Pathmonk group vs. control group, 13 August to 12 September.

The uplift builds through the journey. 80.4% of the Pathmonk group reached the consideration stage against 54.2% of the control group, and 46.6% reached the decision stage against 26.0%. Guidance early in the visit carried through to the booking.
Part 2: first indicators. The content plan is in its first days, so these are early signals, not final results. In the week the first articles went live (29 September to 5 October), the website had 6% more visitors and 20% more pageviews than the week before, and the bounce rate fell from 16% to 11%. It is the start of a positive trend, and the next months will show how far it goes.
What’s next: more traffic, converted better
The content plan keeps publishing over the next three months, building the clinic’s presence in search and AI search for children’s mouth breathing and related care. The microexperiences stay in place, so each new visitor the articles bring in lands on a website already proven to convert. The objective stays the same: get more traffic to the website, and convert more of that traffic.
The results from our first month with Pathmonk are promising, and I am very excited about the content plan. It gives us full marketing freedom!
